HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU pulsates with art and culture. Unique artworks can be seen throughout the hotel, and guests can take home some of their favorite scenes in the form of magnets, sold in gashapon capsule toy machines.
These funky tile squares will light up your fridge or any other surface that magnets stick to. Created by artist Tatsumi Naho and illustrator/graphic designer Yunosuke, they feature hotel scenes and guest room views that made an impression on the two creatives. The magnets are fashioned from upcycled Mino ceramics waste and have a tactile, three-dimensional feel. Not only do they offer the fun of not knowing what you’ll get from a capsule toy, but they will also always remind you of your unique experience at Tokyu Kabukicho Tower.

②Iconic entertainment merch from Japan
Packed with world-class entertainment facilities, including movie theaters, theaters and game centers, Tokyu Kabukicho Tower is an amusement paradise. Here are some Japanese entertainment goods at the tower that make for unique souvenirs of your trip.
Official score by Ryuichi Sakamoto

The late composer producer, and artist Ryuichi Sakamoto supervised the acoustics design of 109 Cinemas Premium Shinjuku. The only place where you can purchase his official sheet music over the counter is the souvenir shop Post Credit in Tokyu Kabukicho Tower. Usually, they are made to order exclusively on the official website.
The score, part of a series of Sakamoto compositions including “The Last Emperor” and “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence,” is beautifully printed on heavy stock paper, and the overall layout and presentation evokes the depth of spirit of Sakamoto’s musical genius. The series includes the hauntingly beautiful composition “Opus,” originally released on the 1998 album “BTTB” and also the title of a documentary film capturing his last performance.

A T-shirt ‘embroidered’ with iconic Shinjuku landmarks

This brightly colored T-shirt from clothing brand Shijyunana showcases the neon lights of Kabukicho and one of its gates, the skyscrapers on the west side Shinjuku Station and Godzilla, all done in early 1980s-style pixel art. It took a year of trial and error for the designers at Shijyunana to achieve an embroidered look even though the shirt incorporates a rubber-like material instead of conventional embroidery. With its unique raised texture, this tee is both a unique souvenir of Kabukicho and a testament to Japanese craftsmanship!

Ne10: A craft gin that bottles the spirit of Kabukicho

Ethical Gin Ne10 is a delightfully spicy gin that captures the spirit of Kabukicho. Its name Ne10 refers to the chemical element neon that adds color and excitement to the neighborhood and the 10 botanicals. The key botanical is the traditional chili pepper “Naito Togarashi,” which has been cultivated in Shinjuku Ward since the Edo period (1603-1867). By blending this, it express a fresh, green scent. Its refreshing, botanical flavor makes it easy to drink in any recipe, whether with tonic, soda, or martini and pairs perfectly with sushi, other seafood dishes, cheeses, charcuterie, berries and chocolate.
A portion of the sales will be donated to organizations contributing to the realization of “Entertainment City Kabukicho,” a new urban tourism hub, helping to create a virtuous economic cycle in Kabukicho.
